After spending six years in the United States Naval Air Reserves, I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Accounting and passed the CPA exam through the University of Illinois.
A fellow alumni and I then opened a CPA practice, which shortly thereafter, I merged my part of the practice with a financial consulting firm owned by one of my professors from NIU, who was a Harvard MBA. Together we provided CFO services to small and medium sized closely held corporations.

In the years since, I've continued with both public accounting and providing CFO services, and now primarily focus my time as CFO to small and medium corporations, while being called on by banks and CPA firms to prepare financial projections, forecasts, and budgets.
